Thanks IZ, it's nice of you to offer only I'm not really in the position to spend that much money after the holiday.

Sent in my Kershaw leek for warranty work. The spring mechanism wasn't opening completely. They sent me back a brand new one.

Mr. Knife Guy had the Benchmade MPR 755 in stock.  

Titanium frame lock looks like it would break off it's so flexible.

Got a Leek for Christmas. It's so different from what I'm used to, but I'm really, really digging it so far. Seems to be very well made.

I've carried nothing but various CRKT M16's for about 8 years or so. The last few M16's didn't hold up near as well as the older ones did, so I switched to the Gerber EVO, which is essentially Gerber's version of the M16. Seems ok, haven't used it much as I've only had it since late Nov. Takes quite a bit more use to break in compared to the M16's.

I've never had a problem with them. I had one for 8+ years until I left it with the bouncer at a strip club and forgot to pick it up on my way out.

This is the first time I actually had them do anything to it (use the warranty). They're wonderful in their customer service. I'm trying to find some of their auto-openers locally.

I think you'll like that EVO, I had one for quite a while. I makes for a nice EDC that you won't be afraid to beat the shit out of, since it's relatively cheap.

I don't remember, since I don't have mine anymore, but I think you can still adjust the blade tension on those with a torx bit. That should help make the action as good as the M16. The blade wasn't as sharp as I like out of the box so I took some fine grit wet sand paper to the edge, helped out a lot!

Many pages back in this thread you asked about Smith & Wesson knives (I went back and read some earlier posts).

I have this guy without the belt cutter...


S&W's are pretty cheap, if you're in the market for one and you can beat the crap out of them without feeling bad about the price you paid. I've used this one for just about everything. It's built pretty well, the only downside is it doesn't have any adjustment for blade tension. Even though I didn't need it, and I've opened and closed it about half a million times, it would still be a nice option.

It's still pretty sharp and I've never sharpened it!

When I was looking at knives for the first time, this is the first S&W I saw.  Sharp looking and very affordable!  [thumbsup]

Just saw this at Zero Tolerance/Kershaw page..

The Kershaw/ZT factory is going to be on the History Channel's show "Modern Marvels." The crew was here shooting video today. The show is set to air on March 18th 9pm ET on the History Channel.
