MV Agusta 1078 or Ducati 1098/1198

Well I hope all of you who went to the MotoGP on the weekend had a great time and celebrated Casey's classy win.

I was suppose to be in Melbourne last week picking up the 1098S but due to some hassles the deal fell thru and with other family health issues I stayed home and watched it on the TV.

So now I can start looking for another bike to partner my S4R and have decided to look at a new 1198S or dare i say it the BMW S1000RR.  I have yet to ride the BMW but it does look impressive on the stats sheet and in reports.

Oh the fun of looking for a new bike....

When do you think the 1198SP will be available in Australia?

They are usually a first 1/4 of the model year.
But you might be lucky and get something for Xmas.

Let me ask a few questions of someone I know and see what i can find out.

Like all things you can always wait for the next model.  If i wait for the SP do I then wait for the new model that apparently will be fundamentally different? 

I had a look at the photos of the SP and I am not sure I like the silver stripe.  I love the tank stripe on my S4R but not sure about it on the 1198SP.

What did you end up buying...?
I guess i was in a similar position to you before Xmas........having an S4R too, I opted to buying an MV 312R which i love, nothing against Ducatis SBK's...........it was a hard decision........but i have always had a soft spot for MV's........and those organ pipes.........

The organ pipes look great! The Suzuki gsxr looking front head light and fairing isn't to bad either
