You don't like the kill bill movies?

Like other Tanantino moives, they succeed in being both derivative and pretensious at the same time.

I feel the same and see many of the current crap coming out of Hollywood to be the same.  To me it takes more than
gratuitous violence, car chases (moto chases are   [thumbsup]), explosions, special effects, and a high body count to make a good movie.  In fact I'm getting really sick of that crap.  I'll keep looking for great acting performances, character development, a great plot, drama, and an original story.  I expect characters that I can relate to or identify with.

... or hate/despise. Dislike and repulsion are also important characteristics for some movie roles. I guess that does qualify as something you can relate to or identify with. I agree with your post. Hollyweird can be very boring and clone like at times. Although I also don't mind a good, mindless, blow shit up, guy flick occasionally. But I tend to keep those views to cheap "the wife's not around" rentals. Wow, sounds like a description of porn movies! [laugh]

When I pay good money for a movie ticket I expect a good movie. Just sayin'...

I just saw that - I don't think I've ever seen a movie that he did.

Hopefully they won't ruin the Bourne movie line.

duccarlos

At this point they have not followed any of the books, so they can't ruin it that way.

The Hurt Locker?
I like a drink. You know when people say 'I like a drink as much as the next man'? Not if I'm the next man, you don't.

sbrguy

he may be a terrible jason bourne i think matt damon did the character fine.

renner was in the town, and sucked ass in that one.  the hurt locker he wasn't all that great in either.

team america - matt damon

the story of that character is kinda funny. damon is friends with stone and parker. when damon's puppet turned out looking a little "challenged" they decided to just run with it instead of fixing the puppet's head.
