Saw a trailer for a remake (well, another, technically) of The Thing.

Looked like it might have promise, hope they don't screw it up. The version from the '80s is one of my fave sci-fi/horror flicks.....

there are no more original ideas. :(
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I completely agree, this one should have been left alone. Its like re-doing Blade Runner.

I like the Thing trailer. May have to check that one out.

the thing about "the thing" is it was, itself, a remake of a 1951 movie... or, at a minimum, they were both based on the same source material, a book called "who goes there?"

that said, i think the 1982 john carpenter version is going to be hard to top.

So I just took the family to see a movie and it included a preview for the upcoming "Three Stooges" flick.

All I can say is Why?

Hey, heres a good thread for "movie news" rather than having a bunch of separate threads.
