Depends on which kindantank bag it is.
The DP/Bagster type system has a tank bra that the bag clips too.
If you are talking a bag that straps to the tank you might find that after a 3-4k run to PI it will rub. Mine did rub on the tank after the Oxley run.

Glad I found this thread - some great info.

I'm off for a ride west to Gunnedah (departing Manly). Have been checking out luggage options today as (like many posts suggest) I am wanting to get weight of my back and onto the bike.

I am a bit reluctant to purchase a rack system as I don't need that much storage and don't want to compromise ride balance. I found this nifty tank bag that has suction caps instead of the magnetic option...

The ventura suction cap option appears to be the only one of its kind on the market - someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I know others use the magnetic tank bags and am interested to know if any have experienced wear from these types over time?

Just got back from my solo Gunnedah ride - awesome weather and roads. Sorted out luggage options - Ventura tank and seat bag - packed 3 days of gear.

Oh Well - haven't quite figured out the insert image option - bugger!
