If there was ever a summer to justify AC this is it.

Well, moved in machine number seven on Saturday. Got it wired, got it connected to the breaker, got it powered and blew it up :P

Someone forgot to switch the transformer taps from 220 to the 480 I hit it with [laugh]

Got things all switched around and the lathe powered right up.

I do have an SDU alarm though which was traced to two small, glass, 5A fuses.

Holy cow did they make the ultimate sacrifice. Of course the filament was toast but so was the glass tube. It maintained it's shape but every sq mm was spidered with cracks and both fuses had some metal on the end caps become molten then blown off from internal pressure.

Would have been sweet to catch that with a high speed camera.
