Typical Dallas douchebaggery! I have lived in uptown for years off and on. Try the Londoner (served my whiskey with ice on the side unsolicited) or State and Allen (stiff pour) if you like just drinking and laid back places.  I prefer to do a bit of sight seeing so I deal with the dbs here and there... If you need any tips on where to go in Dallas let me know, been here for 33 years and still going out and about on weekends.
