being a DNA employee I bet most choices were made to support the home team.

Curious how you got the glossy forks?  Are they painted?

Everybody seems to say that Boomtubes degrade performance, and he obviously cares about performance, so a full Termi system (or similar) makes sense. I agree that the Boomtubes look great, though (and weigh less, too).

Must be the angle/light, cause they look SUPER glossy.  All the forks I've ever seen ano'd were a flat/satin black

junior varsity

Well, they certainly could have been cleared over, but I think the Ohlins-black anodization is pretty glossy - kopfjager had his ohlins rearshock re-ano'd black by Ohlins, and the desmo's forks come that way from the factory

arrick

They’re simply anodized black. They did come out pretty glossy though.

i have NEVER been a fan of the newer gen monsters until now.  from one black bike man to another - well done arrick.  looks very subtle but super nasty.  i think it's the best looking monster north of 2008 i've ever seen.

I really like where they’re at. I have been tweaking hear and there for the past couple months (Gone through three seats) to really get it dialed in and I think I’ve got it where I like it.

TAftonomos

If you don't mind....who did the forks?  Last few sets I've had done were hard anodized.  Much flatter of a finish, but I like the gloss (as long as it will hold up).

junior varsity

my guess is back to Ohlins in North Carolina; that's who blacked the ohlins shock on kopfjager's machine

i'd like to have 'em do some of my bits and pieces as well, but re-blacking the shock is around $400, and respringing with a titanium spring is also $350-400, and for the substantial decrease in weight on a working/moving part, the Ti Spring is winning the battle for money I don't have in my head right now.

I worked directly with Ohlins USA in Hendersonville, NC. They outsource their anodizing to someone local to them. I am not sure who...
