The "Official" Oz Monster Say Anything Thread...

g'day.

Right now, I am stuck on Duty. Spending my Sunday on the ship. Spent the morning walking topside on watch. After 4 hours, I was drenched in sweat and a bit buggered. It's ~ 30 here and I was in uniform carrying a bit of gear. Got off watch and could ring the water out of my shirt like I got caught in the rain. Now, I'm just filling out paperwork and prepping for the workweek.

I ride an 03 Monster 400 matte silver that I picked up in April. Before that I had an S2R in the states until I got ran off the road. Haven't had a chance to put many kms on it as it's still stuck on base while I sort out licensing issues. It's taking a while as the ship likes to spend a lot of time at sea.

I live in Japan. Yokosuka specifically. It's 90 minutes by train south of Tokyo. Been in the Navy since I was 19 and am hitting my 10 year mark in October. Damn... Feel like I should be in the "introduce yourself" thread. What's required next? pictures?

no beers. Not while on duty. I'll have to wait until this time tomorrow to pound back a few. I did find a neat trick though. Out here they add a grain alcohol called sho ju to beer (or tea, juice, etc.). It's damn good. Couple fingers of sho ju mixed with a stubbie and it doesn't take long to turn into a two pot screamer.

Tonight, it's just lots of water and some canned iced coffee to keep me going.
