I have an S4rs with the stock Pilot Powers. What kind of mileage can I expect. I probably do more highway than anything but put plenty of twisties to it when I can. I ride semi aggresively (as in small strips on the front, none on the back) and ain't afraid of the throttle ;D. Just wondering what I can expect. I like the tires very much. I also check the air pressure about every other ride so that's always good.

I got about 4300 with mine, and that's with 132 RWHP. I would say about 75% of that mileage was pretty straight highway or commuting miles.

I got a nail in my rear tire at around 3000 miles and the Service Mgr. said that it was time for a new tire anyway. I ride agressivlly and check the air pressure each time I ride. Front has 4121 on it and still looks good.

Wow, I got about 2000 on it right now and it looks way more worn than the front. I think I'll be lucky to get 4000 miles out of it. I guess you pay for sticky rubber.

You "pay" for heavy throttle hand. [evil]

Front tire usually last about twce as long as the rear.

I put on about 12,000 per year and never get better than 2500. The fronts are good for a bunch more, maybe 8000?

The 2cts are very good, but the regular Pilot Sport is good enough for the street on the rear. I still like the idea of a little softer rubber on the sides for the front -2cts.

The new rear I got this past Friday (180/55) was only $127 and $20 to mount. Cheaper than I can order em and put them on myself.

"Incorrectly" ;D ridden S4R/RS destroy tires at an alarming rate. If the factory had set out to design a tire shreading machine, they couldn't have done much better.

I think tire pressure has a lot to do with tire wear.  My bike is still fitted w/the stock front and I'm about 5500+ or so on miles.  The rear was replaced about 2500 miles or so and co go on for a while.  I'll be replacing both front and rear with Pilot Powers this weekend.

Uncle Mofo

I replaced front and rear on mine at 7200  ;D the rear one was completely bald  [thumbsup] I put 2500 miles and two track days on the new ones and I'm almost ready for new tires again.

I wore down my Diablos to nothing in about 5600 miles. I think my last 600 miles in straight flast ass Florida helped.
