Hi, I'm Jim and I'm a craigslist-aholic.

I surf CL throughout the day searching for 'ducati'.  I guess that makes all of us a little sick, I know.

Anyway, I'm getting more bogus hits recently due to MF'ers using "keywords" and dropping every popular motorcycle mfg and model in their list (which of course includes Ducati).  There's even an SOB who has keyword 'ducati' on his 1991 BMW 850 car.

Anyone else care to join me in flagging these SOB's who are using keyword ducati on things that clearly AREN'T Ducati related?  How can I continue to get my fix on free ducati-pr0n on the interweb with so much spam?!?!

Down with the anarchy!  Let the Hooligans reign!

(now, I need to be careful getting down off this soapbox.  can anyone give me a hand?)

Lemmee just preface this post by saying "Yes, I've been drinking."

I just got off the phone with the BMW 850 dude. I found an iphone app that spoofs your caller ID to whatever you want it to show so I found the number of "The Center Serving Persons With Mental Retardation" and dialed him from that number. The guy was hammered and the conversation didn't go too far before I got to the point and asked him why the ef he chose to include irrelevant keywords. He said he'd been getting a lot of flags for that but he did it because a lot of people looking for "high-end" stuff had never driven an 850 and that they needed to consider it. As he was trying to sell me on the merits of buying his POS, I cut him off by thanking him for his time but that I was really looking for a Ducati.

If anyone want's to give him a call, it's 682-225-2064

BTW, he wants $12,000 and it's got 182,000 miles.

"Hi, Jim!"

This sort of nonsense ticks me off, too. Posters like that should be flagged into oblivion.

Are we flagging with "prohibited" or "spam/overpost"?

We need consistancy!

I went with "spam/overpost"
I feel "spamed" when Im looking for Duc stuff and some idiot says "But I've got this really nice umbrella to sell you..."

To me, SPAM.

Does he have an email address?  Maybe we can start a group-Nigerian offer scam for his BMW.   [laugh]

The insane do not actually know they are insane... such is the premise of my statement, "Down with the anarchy!  Let the Hooligans reign!"  It all makes sense to a troubled mind.  [evil]

I'm flagging everything not strictly Ducati.

Anyone else?

Is it working??
