Can I Spray Paint a Helmet?

Is there any reason I couldnt remove the shield tape up the ventilation and shield hole and spray paint a helmet? I'd like to get an AGV GP-TECH and found that the multi-color is about $100 less than the solid on Revzilla. I'd like to get the black multi-colored and just spray paint it Matte Black. Thoughts? You can do that. Don't remove the rubber gasket at the bottom edge...just mask it.

Just so you know, that helmet was discontinued in '08. I had one that I ruined at the track. That is the reason for the reduced price.

The GP-Tech line or just those helmets?

They still ahve them for sale on the AGV website, including a brand new design for Simo

Just that color pattern.
