Anybody have one? How is the fit, noise, etc.?

I have had a S4 for a number of years and would like replace it with the K3.  Is the K3 the new S4?  Can't find anything to support that.  Since there isn't a dealer/vendor near me (Atlanta), I can't really try one one before pulling the trigger.  I wrote AGV USA earlier in the week, asking about the fitment and how it compares to the S4.  Haven't heard back yet.

If anybody with experience with the K3 and how it compares to the S4, it would be very helpful to share.

I heard back from the AGV rep last week.

"The K3 is narrower in the shape and it might fit differently from your old
S4. They have some differences in terms of ventilation too."

Sounds like the K3 and S4 are different.  For those with a S4, it would be a good reference.  As for the OP, every head is shaped differently.  I would definitely try one on before buying.

Hi Blackout,
I have had my K3for 4 months now, its my first AGV but i reckon its pretty quiet compared to some of the helmets i have had.
Its not as quiet as a GP tech, but its not anywhere near the price either.
The K4 is no quieter.
Cheers

I'm stuck at work right now, but there is a K3 sitting at my doorstep thanks to UPS. I'll write up a short review after a week of riding.

Okay, I've put 100 miles on this helmet over the week so this is a quick run down:

• The most noticeable difference between my old helmet and this K3 is the great visor. I can't tell it's there at all. Shield removal is quick 'n easy and makes for switching between the smoke and clear a breeze. It has a fairly wider view too.

• The noise level is average. The helmet will quieten down a little if it's tilted in a more aggressive position.

• The helmet is pretty light. I think it sits around 3lbs. I don't get any wind pull when doing a lane check behind me.

• My head measures 23". The K3 size chart for a medium is 22" 3/4 - 23" 1/2. The fit is very snug with zero wobble. The cheek pads might be a little too big but it isn't uncomfortable, just makes me look chipmunk-ish.
