I'm looking at getting exhaustsfor my 696, and I'm thinking of something other then Termignonis.

I'm debating between the Arrow's slip-on (71731 AON) or the SC Project GP-Evo slip-ons, with db killers.

I would appreciate your opinion on which of the above would be best. I do lots of street riding in the city and on country twisties and no track.

Furthermore, (this might be a dumb question coming from a novice member) what is the real purpose of db killers on exhausts?

Thanks

I have the GP Evo Carbon pipes on my bike.  I love them.  They sound awesome.  I run mine without the db killers, but you can easily put them in and out (it has a c-clamp for holding them in place).

Recently got the Arrow 71731AON's installed on my bike (Monster 1100), sans db-killers.

Prior to this I've never had any experience with after market exhausts on bikes.
And it has transformed the bike from a docile kitty to a make the beast angry tiger.
All other road users anxiously steer their vehicle to the side at the blimp of the throttle.  [evil]
Maybe I'm exaggerating a little but it does add some volume to the exhaust note.

db = decibel
- They are volume/noise reduction devices.

Though it's not enforced much in the US there are noise laws on the books and some areas are getting more strict about enforcement.

And some people just don't like a noisy bike...
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I am going to go with the Danmotos in Ti and see how they are. For the cheap $220shipped I figured why not give it a shot.
