Hey everybody!

I rode for about a year and a half (4k miles) on a Ninja 250R and decided my tall ass couldn't take any more of the riding position.  I was going to get the 696, but the extra 1+ inch on the 796 sold me.  Plus they had the exact color scheme I wanted!  So far, I've got to say it's miles and miles above the Ninja.  I mean, the riding position, the tires, the suspension, the lightness... it's awesome.  Interesting thing is, even though I'm scared to hurt my new baby, I feel way more comfortable on this bike leaning it over.  Honestly, best purchase I've made in years!

I think I might get a windscreen for it though, because at 70+ with a headwind it gets kind of interesting.

Congrats on the new Monster.

I picked up a Puig windscreen from Monster Parts and it definitely helps with the wind. Before over 70mph was annoying, and anything over 80mph was a real PITA, but after the windscreen no issues. Definitely worth the scratch. The only issue to keep in mind is that when you remove the fairing and put on the cover for the instrument panel, a lot of light from the headlight gets reflected up in your face for night riding. I minded it at first but now its no big deal.
