Allow me to introduce......myself.  [clap] Im from Houston Tx. I've been lurking around for a while and finally signed up. I own an 04 620ie that I purchased from my brother in law. He wrecked it back in 09 and has been sitting in my garage since. I finally sold my GSXR to pursue my dream of owning a Ducati. In the long run I would like to own a S4RS.

I'll give you a year before the "must have more" itch sets in ;D

Enjoy your bike until then!

No pictures yet. I still need to do some stuff before its road worthy. I have been talking to Artful about the vapor gauge install.

Here are some mods I have done over the past two months.

ST4 top triple
GSXR clipons
916 front wheel
SBK ride height rod
Speedymoto belt covers
Monsterparts dual headlight
Tail chop
Light Werks intergrated taillight
Napoleon mirrors
coming mods
Vapor gauge
Carbon side fairings
New paint if budget allows.

I might suggest tarting up the suspension before the paint.

And yes, I think folks will be curious about your work so far.

Oh and welcome!
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Yeah I think I wanna do something about the front end.

Look around in Tech as well. If memory serves there's some inexpensive options out there to improve the shock. I *think* shocks from 916,996,998 or 748 SBKs are bolt ups. But confirm this... I can't recall with 100% surety

Artful

As well as ST2 & 3.

And don't listen to that Artful guy, he's a pain in the ass.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I just found some good pricing on rear shocks on ebay.

Factor in that they will probably need a service and maybe a spring. The spring depends on the original donor bike and how bike you are. FYI, stock the monsters are spring for little fellows, like 160 lbs. So if you're bigger, and the donor  bike used a stiffer spring, more's the better though it might not be quite what you need.

As far as a service It'll be around $75 if it's just new oil, inspect and gas charge. But it can be more if seals or other bits are needed.

Artful

I put an ST3 shock on my bike (695 so essentially the same bike) and I weigh just over two bills. Spring was perfect and with some adjustment the rear end tracks extremely well.

I just saw on for a ST2 with remote reservoir. What do you think?

Artful

One of the local guys has one of those and it seems to work well. The reservoir mounts nicely to the frame where the side cover usually is.

Yeah. That's what i was thinking. My cover is broke on the left side so I might be able to cut the broken piece out and kinda install the can.
