Spot the difference?

Here's a clue:

My wife says I have to take a break in my bike spending for now (that is my interpretation of the dirty looks!).  Thankfully a Speedymoto 10 spoke clutch cover is already on its way, as part of this latest mod.  I have just about decided, when finances and wife permit, to take your advice and upgrade my exhaust.  At the moment I am erring towards SC Project GP Evo's.  I don't want loud (does that make me a bad person?), otherwise I would go for the Competition Werkes.  I love the look of these but they have no baffle.  I gather the SC Project's are street legal.

I have The Termi's with the DP CF shields, they look better than the stock shields. Unfortunately they don't have the exact  same CF cloth pattern as the Termi's but it's close enough not be noticeable. I shall post a pic ASAP.

Here is the long overdue photo of the CF shield. As you can see, the CF weave is a bit different but I prefer them too the crappy silver painted stock shields until something better comes along.

Finally, my Speedymoto cover arrived.  I also got the stainless springs, which is good as the originals are a rusty mess!

Having run with no cover for the last month I am almost tempted to stay naked and leave the cover off permanently.  I'll leave this one on for a while and see how I feel.  I was a little nervous I would catch my rouser leg in the clutch and feel safer now.

I debated putting the gold spring caps on (they came with the springs) but think I prefer the discreet black ones.  I might swap them, when I get bored.

Looks great!
Still, same feeling about those silver cans though.. just grab some black or grey high temp engine paint and rattle can them up!

Don't worry.  I'm giving in to the pressure from here.  The exhausts are my next project (maybe Christmas, maybe sooner).  I am still making up my mind though.  I am more interested in looks than performance.  I am happy to improve the sound but want something that sounds good, NOT loud.  I'm still not sure I am a fan of the Termigogmi's looks.  At the moment (and very subject to change) my shortlist is: SC Project GP Evo, HP Corse, Competition Werks.  I'm not sure if the latter comes with a baffle to keep the volume down.

if you don't want them too loud avoid the competition werkes ones, a mate has a set on his 1198 and holy crap they're LOUD!

Speaking of exhausts, I was down at Bikecraft in Braeside last week getting my Rizo mirrors and got into discussion with Brad the owner about a really neat modded Streetfighter that was on the cover of a bike mag recently. It has one of his custom exhausts as it turned out, a Wizard Sleeve kit that really looked fantastic if you like the open rear, streetfighter look that is so good with a SSSA. See here for photos

Anyways, I was spending far too much money there, rearset, mirrors, bar-ends (almost bought levers as well but sanity prevailed) and mentioned the bike because the mag was sitting on a table in his garage, because I thought it was one of the best looking Duc's I've ever seen and that exhaust really topped it off. Brad said that he could probably make them for Monsters.  :o Sooooo, long story short, at my prompting he's hoping to get a jig set up next year and I should be the first Monster to get one. Sometime early next year I think when I have the dosh and once the weather goes to shite and I can do without the bike for a few weeks while he measures it up and creates the pipe jig. I think it will look pretty sh*t-hot.  [thumbsup]

It is the Mrs' car and plans are afoot to find something less hideous. It's such a pity you can't get a child seat for a 1198!

Wow that's a neat exhaust [thumbsup], be good to see something similar on monster, did you happen to talk $$$?. If you do go ahead make sure you post a photo  [popcorn]

Less than $2k, about $1700, which considering its a complete replacement from end to end is about right. A full Termi kit with pipes will set you back much more.
