i dont know if mirrors are absolutley required but in ohio i rode my yamaha around for 6 months with no mirrors or license plate light and never got in trouble. that six months even included riding from ohio to west virginia. while in west virginia i was followed by a cop for a good 10 ten miles and still wasnt pulled over though it made me nervous and curious since i didnt have mirrors
