No, but I remember when the drivers ran to their cars for the start of the 24hrs of Le Mans. 

Of course could be I'm just remembering snippets of Highlights... Awesome!  I CAN'T REMEMBER - that surely has to count for something

heh, yeah...must be.  and she's not/never was my girlfriend!  FWIW, though, i've been girlfriend-free for a handful of months, and i have to say...it's pretty great.  except for the whole.... well, nevermind.  this is, after all, a thread about dinners.  wouldn't want to jack it.   

... and to keep on topic (sort of).  Bullitt is one of my all time favorite Steve McQueen flics, but I'll definitely have to check out LeMans.

You beat me to it!  Both outstanding flicks. So cool seeing those real vintage (now) race cars on real race tracks ( like the old Monza!) with some for real superfamous racers as extras and doing cameos.
