Oil drip, should I be worried?

Anybody out there willing to give some advice?  The last few rides, I have noticed there is oil coming from under the bike.  It is only a drop or two but the bike is less than two years old.  Should I be worried?  The oil level is fine.  The first time there was a very small collection of oil around the washer right in the middle of the underside of the crank case.  Today that seemed OK but there was a drop hanging off the bottom of the oil filter thingy (the black cylinder under the clutch side of the crankcase).  I haven't fiddled with anything down that end of the bike (except the clutch cover, which should be fine as it is a dry clutch).  It isn't due it's next oil change until March, should I take it in for a checkup, ignore it or do something else?

Thanks

Hi Stephen,

First make sure the filter isn't loose, needs to be tight be not ridiculously tight.
if it's ok have it changed before it becomes worse.

I have had two genuine filters  develop a slight leak for some reason, but no problem
with K&N or Hi-flow filters.

I've given the filter a bit of a twist, it did move a fraction (I have no tool suitable for doing this properly, just my hands).  Hopefully that is it.  I will keep an eye on it and take it into Frasers if it keeps dripping.

if you can turn it with your hand, given the limited area to actually grip it, then it was loose, you should get yourself a filter tool or start using the K&N as it has a hex on the bottom. I change my oil in between services, 10k is too long to leave the oil in there, in my opinion anyway.

It's a Ducati - it's not leaking oil, it's simply marking its territory!

Sorry, I know, I know, I'm not very useful.......

It shouldn't have to.  It shares a garage with a Toyota Camry.  It is definitely Top Dog!
