Reminds me of drunken nighttime college fun with old Big Wheels and hilly, curvy, paved bike trails.  [evil]

Red Bull has a soapbox race that is kinda cool. They hit speeds of 60mph+ Knight you might remember it.

They wont come back to Philadelphia after we showed them too good of a time.

No. I'm a different type of idiot altogether.

Seems like something that needs to take place in NH between leaf peeper season and when the snow flies. Most derby cars look like they could go right under a moose if a moose in the road was a problem.

ohh i remember that day well. it began with drinking on The Wall way too early. plenty of crashes, way to many people, 3 cases of beer, a couple of bottles of rum, a lesbian's girlfriend about to kick my ass, and some random dude on the streets having an issue with me and my buddy later I somehow made it home. That's also when i realized just how much i dislike manayunk. lol

i do want to do our own race down the hill.
though there might be too many cars.
Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!

I'm not sure if they're still around.
One of the racers rear-ended a parked car ~2 years ago, didn't go well for him.

Yeah, they are still around.  I learned of this activity from one of their current members and the creator of the 33 video...stopped at a Starbucks in Sunland and started talking to this guy because he was on an old CB500 four.

Based on other videos, they race down Tuna Canyon, Stunt Road, Glendora Mountain Road (both drops: south into Glendora and north into East Fork).  Even doing this real early in the morning, they have to be careful they dont slide under an uphill bound car!!  You see them crossing over the line a lot.

Is this where we were supposed to ride for DIMBY but got rained out?

We actually did get to ride up and down this section...   [Dolph]

The rain turned us back further up the mountain.   :-\

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
