Zach, I'm sorry you didn't ask us for help.

I'm with BP, I understand, I've been there. I couldn't ask for help because I didn't want
to burden anyone with my problems. I didn't want to make it their problem.

Zach I hope you've found peace in your next life.

Sorry I haven't been on for a few days to reply to message. This message was made by a friend of me and Zach, she was a fellow Duc rider and the mother of a friend of his. She might even be on this forum. Her name is Janet.

"My youngest daughter, Holly, has had yet another loss in her childhood friend Zach. Zach was just 18 ( maybe 19 already, forgive me) and with so much ahead, but passed away last week, on Tim's birthday in fact, another blow for us and anniversaries of other losses. Zach lived, breathed and slept Ducati and loved his Monster (of course!) His dad (Danny) had just ordered a Ducati Mechanica T-shirt for Christmas and, sadly, shortly after his dad received the phone call about Zach's passing, PureDucati.com called to tell him the size was out of stock and so it would be coming from Italy, but in time for Christmas. When Danny told them what had happened, he almost cancelled the order, but then it occurred to him that it would be THE clothing Zach would want to leave this earth in. PureDucati then not only shipped the shirt overnight, but at no charge. THAT's Ducati for you. And so, also fitting, I asked Danny if he would mind a few Ducs arriving for the viewing, start of service and memorial and he was so touched by this--said it would be one of THE greatest tributes for his son. And soooo....I am writing to you all to ask if you may be able to join me in a procession of sports bikes, led & headed of course by as many Ducatis as we can gather. General details follow and I will begin organizing our meet spot and time. Please reply if you CAN assist with this. {Please forward to any Ducatista's I may be forgetting, tho I will send a second identical note to some more others shortly. THANK YOU ALL, love janet.
Zach's funeral will be held on Thursday, December 15th at Journey Christian Church, 1965 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka. The viewing will be from 5-7pm and the service will start at 7pm."

The question I got in my message was if the forum could do something for Zach. I know the family would be touched and I'm going to be sending this whole thread to them soon so they can see your comments and how great of a community you are.

If there is something you would like to do, send me a message or if you guys on are on facebook write to him, the family will be checking his account (I know they have already to add friends that wanted to say something to him)

I made this for anyone that wanted to make it a sticker or something. http://s444.photobucket.com/albums/qq161/TrevOwnz89/?action=view&current=DucatiDill-1.png

I can change it around if you want.

Do you know if there is a charity that the family supports?  With all of us so spread out, donating to a cause in Zach's memory would be a viable option, and meaningful.

And if you wouldn’t mind, please pass along to Zach’s family that his limited involvement in our virtual but close-knit community was a gift - especially his “jumping over my Ducati” thread that we took, manipulated and ran with.  The timing of his thread could not have been better since we had recently lost another DMF member.  Zach’s youth and energy that he conveyed through his posts was a breath of sunshine.  I suspect that when anyone needs a good belly laugh, the thread to go read will be Zach’s.

We will not forget him.

Maybe as a tribute/memorial to zack, we could institute a basketball emoticon into the DMF system? I really thought the "Dolph" emoticon renaming was a great thing.

Having lost someone I loved to suicide, I can feel his family's pain.  very sad news.
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.
