Anyone tried this?  It's 10.5% alcohol by volume.  :o  I have a buzz after half a pint!   :-[   ;D

Had one a few weeks ago.

Bar only served it in a snifter.

So in effect, I only had a Quarter Bastard. :-\

If you can get your hands on this
Coopers Vintage Ale from South Australia ,family run brewery that still wont sell out to the multi nationals
give it a try IMO the best ale I have ever had the pleasure of imbibing
Its hard to get even here in Oz as it is a limited release once a year,

I was drinking DogfishHead Fort at one of their brew pubs in a snifter the other night...nice 18% beer, though it was a little like a barleywine, but not exactly...

I've been sampling "blithering Idiot" lately.  It's pretty high ABV, and tasty as well.    [beer]

I had my first oaked bastard the other night. I love arrogant bastard, but the oaked version was repulsive. Tasted like they forgot to empty the wine out of the barrel before adding the beer.
