The cast on my wrist/arm came off FINALLY today, woo-hoo, and the Ducati replacement bodywork got here yesterday.  The bodywork is in unbelievably good condition and won't need to be painted   :o  Only problem is... they're red (not there's anything wrong with that)  [evil]

It's going to take a few days before I get the hand back to 100% but I think that by Saturday, tools and swearwords will be flyin'

So, if any of y'all are sitting around this weekend with nothing to do, cruise over to Casa Boyd and join in the wrenching revelry (or swearing, which ever strikes your fancy).  There will be beverages for sure and probably some cooked-out beef of some variety  [bacon]

I can't wait to get my Duc back on the road!

Congratulations, and happy cursing!! [beer]

Congratulations on getting the cast off, and on getting all your various and sundry body parts sorted out.  ;D
A wrenching party sounds like a great idea. Look forward to hearing more details, count me in! [thumbsup]

Congrats Lisa! [thumbsup] Nice that your bike will run faster with the red bodywork. [Dolph] [laugh]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

Yeah, I really liked yellow on my 999 before but this red donor bodywork is in good enough condition to not need repainting.  Which saves me a lot of cash for other things I'll need to do to get it running again.

On Saturday I'll work on reassembling the lefthand clip on and all of the stuff that bolt to it.  I'd also like to get the left side foot peg and bracket put on, plus install the new gear shift lever and shift rod.  Next will be the battery box and all the crap that's crammed into to it  [bang]

I'm not planning on sticker kits or decals this time... Maybe a number plate... But that's it, I swear  [evil]

Lisa, do you remember that I have a CutGrafix white number plate kit that I never used? Although it's for my 2005 trip9 (which does not have the "jack-o-lantern" face front fairing like pre-2005 bikes) the rear piece should fit your 999 too. You might check their website. PM me if you are interested. I ordered it then found a rocking deal on an OEM 999S tail piece. So it's just been sitting around.
