I do the land version of SUP.
I have an Epic Makaha Longboard (skateboard)
It's 57in long and I paddle with a Kahuna Big Stick. Very similar to SUP on the water.
I have miles and miles of flat trails along the river here. I just load up the camelback and go.

Yeah, pricing out yours.     I think I'm going to rent one a few times this year..along with a SOP and sea kayak to see which one I like better. I'll buy next season.

I have done SUP a handful of times. It's an OK work out. I just don't get it, not sure what the craze is with it.

I started kiting about 2 years ago. It's pretty tough (and I have surfed, wind surfed and wake boarded all my life), I highly suggest instruction or a very patient friend that really knows what they are doing. It's a blast though.

Oh yeah... That's where we used to live before and where we may be again. Jupiter beach/Juno beach, Stuart, etc. There have been a few attacks

Was watching the SUP'ers out on Lake Austin last weekend and saw these guys playing a water polo game in their kayaks.
