Went to the gun show

I needed 3 things

1) AR lower receiver
2) SIG P232 in stainless steel
3) MagPul "PMAGs" for the AR

None to be found.

Faaaaahdge.

Time to go place some direct orders and see how far down the waiting list I am.

So back to my original thread that got moved... anyone know somebody with an AR they're lookin' to sell private party, shoot me a PM.  Either the whole thing, or just the lower receiver (in any state of assembly from bare receiver to complete lower with stock).

In other news, I placed an order for the new Blackberry Storm smartphone.  Played with one in the store... schweeeeeet.    With all the discounts, I only spent $100 on that $250 phone.  I should get mine around mid-December.  Within the first two days of that wanker going on sale, they sold out, and the wait list is now three weeks.

Yeah, that was the most nutfully crowded gun show I've been to. The parking lot was full all the way to the MAX station--at five on Friday. I got the last, cheapest can of 500 .223 I could find. $170 dollars. I used to pay $78.

I didn't see much in the market of lowers, myself. May end up having to take apart my Bushmaster to get one sent to ALS, though I don't think that any regulations would be able to hurt his business, since he's technically only selling a component, and isn't a manufacturer.

Had a bunch of Sportsman's Warehouse gift cards to burn, though, so I picked up a Benelli M2-tactical auto 12 gauge on Saturday. Their entire handgun shelf was empty, and the only rifles they had were bolt action or 10/22s. Heh.
