I use freeconference.com as well and I used to use minutes.io for meeting minutes but it's kinda flaky.  Right now I'm using Evernote pretty heavily as well as Producteev for tasks.

Does DropBox still increase your storage space if you invite other users to join?

I've been using it for a while at work and it's pretty useful, unless you hit your maximum capacity

Yep. Just got 500 more megs when I got my mom to sign up so she could share photos of my buddies little boy getting flung around the back yard by him and myself. Never underestimate the apetite of a 4 yo boy to be spun about, dangling by arms or legs...

Just make a bunch of gmail accounts and invite "yourself" until you max out the free component.  All you have to do is login under the new account in the Dropbox app.
