Hey everyone, I recently started watching the show Cafe Racer on Discovery's Velocity channel, and was extremely pleased tonight when I saw they made a beautiful classic Ducati. Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the show from the start, but here's a link to the info about the episode and the bike.

It's gaudy and beautiful! I would love for my monster to look a little more like that someday... maybe minus the gold flake  ;)

Very cool, esp. when I scrolled down and saw Vicki Smith, who is an amazing asset to Ducati NA [thumbsup]

I also didn't realize until after I posted that the first three episodes of this season feature Ducatis!
Thank God for DVR...  [thumbsup]

One of my favorite shows since switching back on the dish.  Refreshing to find through all the waves of garbage shows out there.

Count Zero

I love that show as well and have it set to record every Thurs....yay, new episodes!
And yes, starting off the new season with Ducatis is a good thing.

And I do love the way they changed the looks of the 80's GT850.  Calling it "the bus" is being polite.  But even though I hated the color they gave it, the end result is great.

DRKWNG

Nice bike.  DO WANT those forks!!!  Shame they used the Monster tail cowl on it though.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Travman

+1, I was just going to say the same thing about those forks. I'd love to have those on my Monster.

Nice.

I'm gonna have to show this to my friend, for inspiration on what to do with his parts heap that adds up to most of a GT750.

You don't wanna do that to a 750 GT, or any other round case bike, I think.  They're actually becoming worth something!

Rich used a square case motor and an 860 GT frame he had hanging on the wall to build this bike.  The forks are Superbike spec units.  The thing that struck me, standing next to this bike, though, is how frikkin' small it is!  It is absolutely tiny!!!  Maybe next show, when they put one of the Bostrum brothers on it at Talladega GP, you'll see what I mean.
Never appeal to a man's "better nature."  He may not have one.  Invoking his self-interest gives you more leverage.  R.A. Heinlein

i really like that show but the format drives me nuts.  I'd prefer if they ran a longer segment on each story instead of 5 minute segments stretched out over 3-4 episodes.  I dvr it now and watch like 4 at a sitting so I can have some continuity.

I really like what those guys at British Customs are doing to new triumphs.  They're a local company here and we see them frequently at shows and dealerships, very cool dudes.
My fast lap is your sighting lap.

+1 format is bananas. Love the bikes. But I give a big "meh" to the hipster lifestyle they assign.
