"Vintage" Bicycle Help Needed

I always have to look at the BB to remember which is normal and which is left-hand thread. I tried to work it out logically when typing that previous note, so it's little surprise I got it wrong.

No worries. 

Between this thread and a former co-worker who's heavy into bike racing, I learned a few things (like most everything American has the English thread, etc.)....
