i wouldn't ride through Chernobyl with his body and your bike...

i do remember some youthful adventures into the Boston subway systems as a teenager....unfortunately long before digital cameras / smart phones...

I love the abandoned train. Do they just park it one day and decide that's where it'll be vacated?

This is a Deby as it was posted before but I thought I would post it again with the Chernobyl talk.
This gal has some neat pics of the area.

Just to give everyone a little history lesson on the pictures of that yellow locomotive:  It's a GE 44 ton switcher built 45 minutes up the road from Kevin's house in Erie, PA about 60 years ago.  Even more info than I care to type can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GE_44-ton_switcher.

I just looked at www.railpictures.net (where all the rail nuts go for railroad pics) but couldn't find any pictures of that unit, so looks like you may be the first to photograph it in quite some time Kev!  Next time we're riding, we gotta go there so I can snap some pics.  I want to find the builders plate to see the actual build date and take a look at the prime mover too.

Looks like it, with the span up.

Around here (DC Metro) there's lots of smaller buildings on the sides of roads that look like they did "something" at one point.. I'm always terribly curious about them.

I'm going to have to look up some stuff like that in this area and go explore too. There's quite a bit from what I hear... though I gotta be careful. Being DC area some of it's old mil and might get guns pointed at me if I choose poorly.  :o

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

You probably violated several PA felony trespassing laws! [laugh] And unknowingly exposed yourself to some form of radiation. ;D Also looks like a good place for zombies to hang out. [popcorn] [bacon]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

It would by itself eventually anyway so if you need it to gain passage, I'll sell it.

There are some old crumbling buildings in the woods around here, I'll wander in and get some pics this weekend if I have time
