Fiat Abarth - at Gilt - Sale - $16K - really?

Is this legit ?  I have not bought anything from gilt so far (on accounts that I can't afford squat).

But I am in the market for a car and Fiat is one I have been eyeing.

But the abarth at $16K?  Really?  (regular I think is $22).  Very tempted.

(hate spending $ money on car when I am really dreaming about Ducati Streetfighter.  But my current shitty VW is dying).

The 2 liner footnote was about $5k deposit to gilt and when u pay the $15.5 k price to a dealer then gilt gives back the deposit.  What I don't know is are they guaranteeing Abarth availability at a designated dealer?  So many questions.

At this price, if this promotion is in, it's worth the wait for anyone.

It does concern me that EVEN a lesbian chic referred to the fiat as "gay". Darn, didn't realize fiat here has that image attached to it.

Not that there is anything wrong with that! 

Seriously...I dont think it has anything to do with FIAT as such.  Most Americans dont even know that FIAT used to sell cars in the US.  I think the "gay" or "chick car" labeling is due to it's small size and the marketing as a boutique car.  I drove a Miata for 15 years and always heard the same comments.  Totally different attitude in Yurrup.

Dude, drive one. Its a monster. Besides people that claim it's gay Are probably going to airport bathrooms anonymously and then Shame-hating other people for having the balls to do what they wish they could.

I called Gilt and was told

-Apparently flash Promo sales info are not necessarily shared with all dealers.

-they have done this before for Infinity.

-more details will be sent once you buy the item at gilt.
