The fact that this thread was started suggests otherwise..

I am not suggesting that at all.  It was merely an informal observation of mine that the celebrity death rate this year seemed higher than in years past.

Pretty certain, my interpretation anyway, that Alfisti wasn't saying an entertainer's passing was "more tragic..." than a FF's an EMT's or anyone from the service.   Completely different categories.

Way back when I was young, 5 or 6 or so, I would tie my older sister Jenny to a tree with my jump rope. I would circle the tree doing Indian war whoops. Then I would reach in a tickle her every other round or two. I would call her Phyllis Diller too. This was kept up till she peed her pants. Good memories
