The previous owner has a set for sale he never put on the bike.  He wants $3K for them. but they do look sexy as hell.

You could fit some 749/999 10-spokers, but it's not a bolt-on.
Rear axle is bigger (30mm IIRC) and front wheel has 5-bolt disc mounting.

Now this is interesting.  Seriously contemplating using my S2R as a donor bike for the S4.  Since the S2R has a complete 999 front end I could just swap the entire front end over (forks, rotors, wheels, brake calipers, masters and Speedymoto SBK triple).  Would eliminate buying springs for the S4 forks that I hear a junk anyway.  It would also be cheaper than buying new parts.  My wallet could use the break right now!

Bike's been dropped off at shop for transplant surgery.....

In addition to clearing state inspection, getting the woodcraft clipons, 848 masters (brake and clutch), 4 piston/4 pad calipers, Yoyodyne clutch slave, new rubber and Speedymoto triple......

New Ducabike rearsets (finally) installed and the much dreaded stock ones are gone.....  848 master clutch and brake controls installed.  916's were a bit too much for me and the adjustability of the stock levers  .  4 pad/4 pot brembo brake calipers on and working great with sintered pads...New rubber and a couple other things installed.

Gettin there slowly with her.

New rear rotor arrives next week along with some other goodies...

not good enough.    I have two more weeks in this cast.  get busy.

So here's where she stands.  By next weekend the following will be installed:
- Galfer rear wave rotor
- Will vinyl wrap the forks black
- CF shorty rear hugger
- Braking front rotors
- Yoyodyne slave cylinder
- Shorai battery

Cutgrafix is creating a matte red stripe kit for me.  The stripe kit inspiration is coming from the Ducati Chicken build -

Very torn as to whether I should keep the bike grey, which i like or I'll go with a darker metallic silver.  Not sure yet but I need to get another tank....UglyDucky - that FI steel tank you got, will it work with my S4?
