Presence and love are strong medicine.  Keep strong.

Positive thoughts from the wife and I are on the way.

Word.  Be there.  My father has so far survived one cancer.  My Grandfather eventually lost that battle, and it's a hard one to watch, even a successful right.  It makes people tired irritable and otherwise not themselves.  Keeping contact through everything is good for everyone, even when people are negative.

My wife keeps trying (as well as the doctor) to get my teenage step son to get the HPV shots. Again, it's not just young girls that need them, young sexually active boys can transmit the desease. He doesn't want to get the shots but we are still leaning on him. He's not "active" yet but I know he will be soon enough... even though his Mom doesn't want to believe it. [bang] Maybe I'll just give them to him while he's sleeping. [evil] [thumbsup]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

Well, treatment hump day has arrived for my nearest and dearest. (that's halfway through ). Radiation 5 days per week for 7 weeks plus chemo every thursday. Knocking her around a bit, lots of  lows and the odd high (thanks to Oxycodone), but the hard thing for her is going from being her normally  hyperactive type to having zero energy. Not being able to do what she wants with our littl'un is making it tough for her. The next couple of weeks are going to be hard as the radiation burns start getting worse. Still, as she said today " I can see an end to this" so it's onward and upward. My dear old bro' has finished his second round of chemo this week so here's hoping they've nailed it this time.

The day has finally arrived when there's no need for my darling wife to go in to the hospital for another dose of radiation. Final Chemo last Thursday too, so it's "Let the healing begin" time. She still feels like $#--  and the effects of the treatment will be pretty bad for the next couple of weeks though.

She's so looking forward to a proper family Christmas  at the beach with our baby girl, so we're working towards getting her fit and well for that and the the many more Christmases to come.

Also, as of last Wednesday, another win with my brother officially in remission after his 9 month battle with Lymphoma.  [beer]
