hummus is good food (especially with baby carrots or wheat thins!).  red pepper hummus, spicy red pepper hummus, yum! yum!

(tabouli can take it's place next to the used coffee grounds for all I care...that stuff is nasty!)

So I saw something on the TV and immediately thought of this thread.

This bar somewhere took a bottle of a whiskey.  I believe it to be Jim Beam in a wide mouth glass pitcher type container.  They then took 3 oz of bacon fat all warm and golden.

They poured the hot piggy fat into the bottle of Whiskey.  They said to let it sit for 6-8 hours then chill the solution.  After chilled, remove the solidified fat, and enjoy.

Smokey, bacony, whiskey goodness.    [bacon]

While that does sound very good - and much closer to bacon than Turkey - I would think buffalo would be to lean to be bacon.

i will have to look for it.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

It's hard to f@ck up anything to do with buffalo. Those are some tasty animals.  [thumbsup]

In other news, my parents were in Seattle recently and brought me some Ivar's clam chowder ('cause it's my favorite).  ;D

YUMMY!! . . . and it has bacon in it!!

They also brought me some Full Sail Amber.  [drink]

Yeah, I don't think I'd make the effort to make it, but I'd sure as hell try it. I've done stupider things to myself, at least once...  [laugh]
