My company just shipped me an iPhone 5 for work use. I already own a 4.
Is there a way to have all the current info from my 4 go to the new 5 without removing the 4 as my current device?

I would rather not carry both phones and don't want to cancel my current personal phone plan.
My plan is to simply forward calls from the 4 to the 5. Anyone know if text messages get forwarded as well?
Any other suggestions on how to manage this?

I'd like to keep everything as simple as possible.

Just back up your iphone  4 on your iTunes, setup the iphone 5 on iTunes and when it asks to restore/use the latest back up copy select that.  Well it worked from my 4 to my new 4 anyways.

Can't you just back it up iTunes and move the sim card to the new phone?

How do you remove the SIM? Sounds difficult.

Hmmm....I hadn't thought about that. But wont that give me ANOTHER phone number, bringing the total to 3?

On the right side of the phone look for a pin hole. Use a pin to open the little compartment. Remove card. Put it in new phone. Done.

The 5 does, it's supposed to be a world phone. The 4 is just CdMA.

Palabra  ;) ...so he doesn't have a SIMM card in his 4 to transfer if he's using Verizon. The AT&T 4 does though. (?)

4 = AT&T
5 = Sprint

So if I did the SIM card switcharoo where would my calls/texts from the 4 go to?

I don't think you can run the same number on two different carriers. (?)

yes, but that number will ring on both your mobile phones, your office, and even your home if you want it to.

you can even port your existing number to google voice so you wouldn't have to give everybody a new number.

Ok, ditch all these ideas. Just do the backup of your phone through iTunes so that everything is xferred to the 5. Then enable call forwarding on your AT&T plan.

If you went the Google Voice route you would have to port out your current number to Google, rendering the 4 useless, unless as you said would need to get a 3rd number.
