Clutch issue

Well that seal ain't sealing. Tried to bleed it again Today and it's getting worse.

Hi Paul,

Sounds like you have a mass of air trapped in the line. Try reverse bleeding the system using a syringe and injecting the brake fluid from the bleed nipple on the slave. Keep an eye on the reservoir as it will fill and spill over, so you will need to keep emptying it till there's no evidence of bubbles still coming out.

Thanks to rowdy I have a 'new slave cylinder so fingers crossed she will be back on the road tomorrow

So I have fitted the slave cylinder from rowdy huge improvement. I have pressure in the system and it's consistent. However the clutch still isn't engaging properly. If I drop it into first and wheel the bike forward with the clutch lever in its still in gear. I have not started the engine and tried it cause I'm scared to plus it should not make any difference?
Apart from a visit to the mechanic and /or more bleeding (it looks air free now) to any other ideas?

And it's fixed.
Gave it a quick bleed this morning and it was still not engaging the clutch.... And then it was.
Took it out for a death ride and all good (till the rain started)

prob got air up the top in the master cylinder

usual brake trick is cable tie the lever to the handle bar overnight
i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

You can remove the master cylinder cover and G-E-N-T-L-Y and S-L-O-W-L-Y operate the lever and you can get the air that is up the top to blow back into the master cylinder! [thumbsup]

Works for me! Good idea to cover all of the bike because if you inadvertently squeeze too quickly it'll spray fluid everywhere!  [roll]

Thank you guys especially rowdy.
Commuted to work today and all good, no issues.
Up on the stand again tonight with a towel under her, checking for any lost fluid, but fingers crossed all good.
