Doe-Foe

Hi all,
It's time I finally registered here. One year ago I bought S4Rs #281.
Considering I'd never sat on a Monster before (I don't think a GT1000 counts), I was extremely happy to find out how good it felt once it rolled off the delivery trailer.
My name is Dave.
My board name "Doe-Foe" is because in Oct 2011 I t-boned a doe at 55 mph half an hour after sunset here in Wisconsin. That knocked both me and my vintage Bridgestone out of commission. And the deer died in the weeds while I waited for the deputy to find me. The left handlebar end punctured the deer's stomach. I doubt the front wheel to the midsection did much good either. I never dress for comfort, I dress more for safety. That night I had insulated coveralls on, a Cortech riding jacket, thin leather gloves, blue jeans, a full face helmet (cheapy), and cell phone.
I don't remember impact (or any motion accept seeing the deer appear in view of the high beam). I remember a fraction of a second realizing I was watching the pavement slide only 2" in front of my eyes through the visor. Next thing I knew I came to on the grassy shoulder about 15 ft beyond where my bike came to rest.
I got a mild concussion, inner ears took about 3 weeks to be normal again, and fractured the 5th metatarsal in my left hand (only needed a splint for protection). Sore muscles in my left calf and hip areas went away within 3 days.
I've enjoyed about 1500 miles on the Ducati last summer, and the Bridgestone will slowly be repaired this summer.
I've been riding for about 30 years, but I'm not a high mileage rider.
Let the fun continue!

Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Is William Doe-foe a relative?
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

Some people call 911..... some people are 911

Willem Defoe is actually from Wisconsin - went to high school in Appleton.   Welcome to the forum.  Where are you at in Wisconsin.  I am about 20 miles West of Oshkosh.
This isn't a dress rehearsal for life - this is it!

Let's see if I can make the recently uploaded photos show the Ducati.

My wife and I couldn't believe this personalized plate was still available.

I have removed the speedymoto open clutch cover and replaced it with a stock one. Less noise.
