'00 M750 Mikuni rebuild

It's springish here and I've decided it's time to think about a carb rebuild. 34,000 miles and they haven't been apart since a Stage II kit went in with about 3,500 on the clock. What's the easiest way to go about this, just buy another Stage II kit, plus jet o-rings and bowl gaskets? As always thanks in advance

I've been very satisfied with the Factory Pro kit, including some of their nickel-plated emulsion tubes.

You can go for the main jet o-rings, carb bowl 'gasket', jet body gasket, mixture screw o-rings, float valve o-rings, from Ducati.

Don't leave the diaphragms out of the carbs for very long, they can shrink and are then a beyotch to fit back.

If you're feeling ambitious, you can split the rack and clean the 'anti-backfire' diaphragms and pistons.
Fair warning, it's a hassle to get the balance spring back in.
If you're going to split it, get a pair of o-rings for the vent tee and seal rings for the fuel inlet tee.

Don't lose the little filter on the fuel inlet.
You could get a new one of those for fun.

As said before, be sure to change the emulsion tubes. They wear fast (even if you can't really see any visible wear) and it affects mileage and drivability at low speeds.
