Hi all.  I live in Dallas and just bought a new 2012 Monster 796 about a month ago.  I haven't ridden in about 15 years, but got the urge to start riding again after visiting the local Ducati dealer.  I learned to ride as a teenager on my father's Honda Nighthawk 250 (I think that's what he had) and then had a Yamaha Virago 535 for a few years.  I really like the 796 ... seems like the right size bike for my experience level and is a lot of fun for the type of riding I like to do. I've been riding conservatively so the controls become instinctive again but am hoping to take it to the track this summer to improve my skills and have some fun.  Ciao a tutti!
