Its bad that it sits right on the dirt so that the water and the microbes that live in the dirt can decompose the floor structure.

On the other hand Im aware of several houses in this area that were built with redwood beams lying in the dirt as a foundation. They seem to be good for about 80 years or so.

But 2x4 fir isnt going to last anywhere near that long, and the OSB floor...that wont last its third year.
