If it were me, I'd rather inspect the replacement bike at the shop instead of having them deliver it to me. I would try to be there on a Friday, and stay the weekend while putting miles on it. If they deliver it to you, once it is there, and if there are any problems, you would be in a difficult position because it is doubtful that the person doing the delivery has any authority. You should always try to have some sort of leverage in a negotiation.

I suppose I should clarify a couple things as you guys bring up some excellent points:

1. I went into the store yesterday and inspected the unit with the owner.

2.  Both are a 2012 1100 Evos .... and will have a 2 year warranty.  It is a floor model with 277 miles on it But I will be the first registered owner.

In all...

1980 Honda CMT 400 - Sold
2012 Ducati Monster 1100 Evo

Skybarney

Just a thought, the five year extended warranty on an Evo is likely a good idea.  Get it if you can ( :
Two things I don't do.  Keyboard bullies and hypocrites.
