True enough, that is what training is for. lol  The green stuff is soaking wet bamboo mat, rolled tightly to simulate human limbs(neck included). It isn't nearly as easy as it looks. I haven't played with mats yet, but 1 1/2" saplings are no trouble...except for cleaning the sword.
