Those trauma shears Headhunter mentioned are super.  Countycom makes a downsized pair of them that is still excellent if space is a consideration, but their fullsize ones are awesome.

"Mosting the most" means "missing the most", kinda like your photography his typing requires using your imagination to fill in the IZ_ spots.  ;)

Must to reiterate.

Yes!

Always had those in each of my Ducs.  Learned the hard way after doing tail chop and relocating plate.  Crunched it 2 x's.  Couple of zip ties work nicely to hold the plate on until you get home.  Had to attach it to backpack the second time.

About the goat...
His name was Bob, but the family called him BeelzeBob.
make the beast with two backs goats.

Not sure how familiar you are with the use of all of the survival gear, but knowledge is more important than the gear. The handbooks are really helpful, but trying to read up on how to use (insert gear here) in the moment isn't ideal.

Be familiar with everything you carry prior to needing it.

I agree.
However when dealing with plants, I'd like to have the reference book (survial manual) in hand.
The time to find out that a particular plant or berry is poisonous is before you wolf down a big handful.
2 lbs of food even dehy will last a couple of days, a 2lb survial manual will allow you to safely eat local flora for weeks.
A conclusion is the place you got tired of thinking

Good call.  I'm pretty confident with the gear that I carry, but without a field guide, my plant identification is a little lacking.

is this survival kit dual purpose?  If the Zombie apocalypse happens you're screwed so carry some ammo.... [evil]
