Best fork swap options (plug n play) for a 2001 Monster

   Looking for adjustability in the caps and compatibility with my IMA 52/54mm top/bottom triples and Brembo calipers...Supersport forks? Not really sure what to start looking for here.

ST forks are a tad longer.  Yes, you can pick up same-year SS forks and drop them in.

Anyone know if all SS forks 01 and prior will fit, and if they have the adjustability that I seek? I like the gold ones, vintage 95'.

Prior to 98 they use 40mm calipers. You have 65mm calipers so you have to be careful which you buy.  Best is to buy something from same year or close-after.  ST are about 15mm longer if you want that.  SS are the same.

I believe Supersports of the same vintage are going to be the same Showas I already have. I wouldn't mind longer if they allowed me to keep my current triples.

They came in both nonadjustable Marzocchi and adjustable Showas.  The 900SS SP had adjustable, the 900 SS CR had nonadj.

I used ST4 forks on my 2003 1000ie. Even got the fully adjustable rear Showa shock with remote reservoir from the same bike. Serviced them and installed. Plug and play. Big difference from the non adjustable Showa forks and Sachs shock originally on the bike. Remember to turn the dampening down on the forks though as our Monsters are not as heavy as an ST. Otherwise the ride will be rather stiff.

Properly sprung for your bike and weight, the adjustable 50/54 Showas are decent, certainly better than the non-adjustable Marzocchis.

They can be revalved to be a good bit better.

Showa SBK 53/53 are a better fork to begin with, so can be made better than the 50/54.
A bit more aggro to fit on a Monster.

Are you using standard bars or clip-ons?

Or I would even say, it means you can turn the adjusters .... at least as far as compression adjusters go.
Monster 900-2002 (sold, alive and well in the UK), 749R / 1100 HYM combo for track days, wifes / my Monster Dark 800-2003 (not entirely "Dark" anymore and a personal favourite) , 50% of 900SSie -2000 track bike for rainy days-now with tuned ST2 motor and Microtec ECU. Also parked due to having been T-boned on track.

Regular bars. I'd need longer bars to comfortably use clip ons I think.
