Looking to get another helmet: specifically the Airoh j106, Simpson Bandit, or possibly roof boxer..

All of which can only be purchased oversees for shipping to US.

Any tips on how to:

Get the correct size. Maybe a universal measuring resource for head and helmet sizes?

Reliable webstore. I've come across a dozen .eu .au ....and i have no idea which one has a good history in terms of, oversees shipping, business standards etc etc.

Dot, ecu, snell certification standards.

Manly because you cant just send it back if it doesnt fit, is cheaply made, or looks worse than the pictures etc.. is why im so hesitant. Paying 200 + for something that I cant touch, try on or hold in my hand is a big step..

Any advice on how to go about this properly who be greatly appreciated! thanks  :) :D

Hey.
www.fc-moto.de
is, i think, a pretty big and reliable online store who pretty often has good deals and almost every brand.
On their homepage you can also chose english as a language for the site.

Another one is
www.louis.de, also available in english (roof).
I have ordered from both and never had any trouble.

They are both pretty big so I think they would send overseas, but don´t know for sure.

Good luck.

thanks!!

Just checked out fc moto.. They have a great selection.

Nice of them to let you pick the currency.

I bought a few helmets here. They have no issue with replacement, if you are not happy with it (size, or other), but you have to pay shipping.
And from UK is not exactly cheap.

Airoh j16 is about 1/3 of the price of the Bandit.
Which model of bandit you after?
I get it that you might really really want one so you're willing to pay  but £40 shipping on a £130 Helmet?

The Bandit on the other hand a £450

The airoh appeals to me specifically because its cheaper and looks cool. Not to mention the fact that the reviews seems to be fairly positive.

It would be my secondary helmet, but depending on quality etc.. i might just wear it more often.

Simpson is supposed to be top of the line. i really like the STREET BANDIT M2010 or SNELL 2010 SUPER BANDIT ( about a 200 difference between the 2)

I'd be willing to pay more, but if i can get a good cheap secondary helmet with an overall decent value (shipping included) i'd go for it!

Anyone know the best way to make sure to get the proper size??

Raux

a lot of manufacturers will have helmet sizing on their website

DarkMonster620

Airoh XL never fitted . . . even they show the same exact sizing as Nolan/X-Lite, Shark, Suomy . . .

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

The "best" way is to try one on!   ;)

Just as a YMMV, I've ordered helmets from FC and from Louis.  I take a size small, and the Airoh smalls all fit.  While in Hamburg last Fall, I visited a Louis store, and the Bandit smalls fit me as well.
