At the request of cdc, I hereby introduce myself.

RichD showed me the way to this board after a chance encounter on I-20.

My name is Zach, and my wife is Catie. I have been riding for about 5 years, mainly on Japanese bikes. I made the switch to Italian this year with the purchase of an MV Brutale, followed quickly by the purchase of my 1098S. I must admit to owning an R6 track bike, but I cannot afford to crash a 1098S. My wife has just started riding, and recently purchased a 696 from AMS. She only has about 400 miles under her belt, but has completely fallen in love with riding.

We live on the west side of Ft Worth, just outside Loop 820. I am happily unemployed at the moment. Catie is an aero engineer on the F-16. We are childless, and plan on staying that way. We have a Beagle and a cat, and they are more than enough responsibility.

We look forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome Zach (and Catie)!  Glad to see that you took the advice of RichD (generally pretty reliable guy) and joined the forum.  Nice bikes!  My wife and I also live in the Fort Worth area (Hurst).  It's good to have some more "west siders" in the mix.  I swear - someone needs to open a Motopia West soon!

Likewise, looking forward to meeting ya'll in person sometime soon.

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

HeyYo Zach & Catie!

Mucho Welcome-O [thumbsup]

Coupla very nice bikes there. (I'm secretly jealous of the Black S.)

We've got a bunch of great folks on the West side, so please join us for eats, rides, etc...

Looking forward to meeting in person soon [thumbsup] [moto] [drink]

Ahem, since this is the MONSTER forum,  we welcome Catie and her beautiful 696.  The 1098S (in black  [thumbsup]  [clap]) we will tolerate. ;D

Zack, George is in Saginaw and I am in the Cityview area as is Cory.  The other peeps from Fort Worth are south and north of 820.  We'll see y'all at the Thursday dinner.

Um, "Black/Red" to be specific [insert drool here], the fastest color combination, mind you.  8)

Welcome Zach and Catie...I hope to meet you all this Thursday and see those bad-a$$ bikes in person.  [thumbsup]

BTW--when my wife and I were childless and planned to stay that way, we also had a Beagle.  ;)

Welcome sports fans! Do not be ashamed of any of your jap bikes, all are welcome. I personally make it a point to show up on my jap sport bikes and leave the Ducatis at home just to keep that high level of irritation going! [laugh] I have a reputation to maintain! They mostly tolerate me... and it's not only because of the jap bikes, trust me. You'll see. ;D

Glad you found RichD and made your way to the madness! Tell your wifely unit that we have several groovy chicks on Ducatis around here. Super cool gals! [thumbsup] An awesome group of folks and scooters. Always room for more! Seriously, this is one of the best bike crowds I have ever been around. They take fun to another level and are a killer (as in fun, fast and safe... not real killers!) group to ride with. You need help with anything... 20 people show up in 10 minutes. Again... you'll see. Looking forward to meeting you and the Mrs. [thumbsup]
