Just had an amazing Chinese lunch.  It had soup, egg roll, chow mien and orange chicken for a grand total of $6.95.  I could not even finish it.  Best of all they do it with no MSG and excellent ingredients and the total wait time was only about ten minutes.

Pretty sure all the combo meals at the fast food joints are five to seven dollars, maybe more if you actually want to be full.

Healthy Chinese food for cheap or Whopper.......  No choice IMO.

There are some BAD chinese food places out there.

but for hte most part, good chinese food is usually pretty healthy. Its always made to order and most things go without preservatives.

Man i could use some noodles right now!!!

Ok. I'll join the conversation.

I haven't had a whopper in like 20 years. I would eat it now if I had no choice.

But!  Back in college,  there was (and may still be there) a burger king on Hempstead turnpike in East Meadow that would serve two whoppers for one dollar after 2a.m.  I would visit that burger king regularly after 2a.m.

If I ate two whoppers after 2a.m. now, it probably would take me a week to recover.    [puke]

Chipotle sure isn't my first choice, but it ain't bad.  Mostly organic/sustainable ingredients and freshly made.  Plus they have  [drink]

If you see a Pret A Mange give it a try.  They also have  [drink] and [wine]

I've never had anything that compares to Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

There isn't anything there that isn't awesome.

If you are talking about Pret A Manger, sort of.  Not made to order, but all made on premises that day from fresh ingredients.

You will need a really large vehicle.

Challenge almost accepted.

I think Five Guys are overrated & overpriced.

We have Good Times out here, and I would consider them the best fast food burger in the area.  www.goodtimes.com

In-N-Out is my second.

Smashburger is probably third.

We also have a ton of local joints that serve great burgers.  The Cherry Cricket is tops.  Hands down.  http://cherrycricket.com/

+1 on your take on Five Guys.  Meh.

In-N-Out is my #1, although I concede it is not the best burger, just my favorite (double double, animal style 8) ).

Shake Shack (NYC) and Umami (LA) are near the top of my list.

And I always liked Wendy's burgers, whenever I have to do fast food.

Dammit, now I'm hungry...

Same here, best place in town for a burger is a bar and grill, they've got at least 20 variations. Reasonably priced too. Nothing else is even close.  [drool]

Unami now has a restaurant in the West Village, 6th Ave. & 10 St.  I haven't tried it yet, long lines.
