A couple of the 59er folk have decided to make a trip up to the Sonic on NW highway tonight to watch Darwinism at it's finest. That's right, we're going to look at the squid bikes.

If anyone wants to come along for the ride I think a pint or two will happen beforehand and an as yet undisclosed location around 6:30 or 7. Then, the entire pack will be heading over to Sonic for the show around 8:30.

I'll post up when I have more info, but that's the rough idea so far. Any takers?

i went out to this once with the s2r...i wasn't accepted with open arms, weirdly enough.  and sadly saw a couple ducs out there, too...a monster and a sbk.   :-\

make sure to follow them out to their super-secret race location after they fill up at that gas station across the street.

SBK might have been ME ...?
I stop by there sometimes jus for the show.
It is funny to look, laugh at the stupidity, and have a slushie-drink and a hotdog

Stop by AMS Dallas first... sometimes there are a few Ducs that meet up there ( departing around 8:00 )

I have seen this madness once before. Years of therapy have helped me get over the post traumatic syndrome of seeing all the pimped and trashed out bikes. Harmless, once beautiful machines that haven't done anything to anyone yet were somehow cursed in a previous existence to become reincarnated as "stunt bikes" and suffer in this life. And yes, it's Darwinism at it's natural selection best! It's amazing to watch these "destroyers of the gene pool" actually ride around on two wheels (sometimes one...) knowing that they have bred and spread their genes in the primordal soup that is our city. Those that survive this stage of life may actually become future leaders of our society. They'll be easy to pick out, they will make really bad decisions and walk with a pronounced limp. :o

Well, I live across town near the sonic, so we'll probably just look for our kind once there and hunker down for the show.

Argh, I'm gonna have to bail. Wife is sick and stuck at home. Gonna be the good husband and keep her company. I won't see much of her this weekend as she'll be taking her Moto classes.  [moto]

If anyone still wants to go (which I don't see anyone knocking down my door) just lemme know and I'll shoot you meetup details later.

It is the one in front of SAM's and Fry's.  Just off of LBJ.

jupiter @ nw highway...after they're done at sonic and with the wheelie/stoppie sessions, they fill up at the shell station on the NW corner of jupiter @ nw hwy, and head out from there.  or they used to anyway.  can't imagine it's changed very much.

I'm out there once in a while. I like to watch the mayhem ensue. I'm sure I look pretty funny sitting on my ST4s on Centerstand eating a supersonicjalepenocheeseburger and Orange cream slush.
