Finally finished my chromoly and carbon fiber oil cooler bracket. It's def not in the realm of awesome as Monsta's but I'm happy enough with it.

The plain cap screws are just temporary of course.

I drew it up and a buddy cut and welded it. I'm gonna powder coat the steel.

That looks bad ass. I dig it. But, if you hold it up by the valve cover does it have much flex ? That's the only thing that bothers me about CF in an application like that. It's only as strong as the resin that bonds the fibers. After too much flex for too long, it'll just be a floppy piece of carbon cloth.

Hmmm...there isn't really any flex in the CF. And where those 3 button head screws are mounting the steel to the CF is 1/8th foam rubber for additional vibration damping on top of what the 2 sandwich mounts provide. But you have my attention with that comment for sure...I think I'm going to add 2 sleeve bearings/top hat bushings along with rubber grommets where the CF mounts to the valve cover for extra peace of mind. I don't like how I can't properly torque those 2 screws the way it is right now anyway and it should solve that problem. I'm actually liking this bracket less and less the more I look at it and and type about it lol...just may have to go back to the drawing board on this one. 😕

I gotta say...this particular area of the build is really beginning to be a frustrating and absurd amount of time and $$$. Ducati Performance made a set of finned billet valve covers about 14 years ago for the M600 and 750, and one of the kits came with an oil cooler bracket. Would be nice if I could just find that.

Find two and send me one. Thanks.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

Looks good and different from everything else I've seen. Why not?

Neither of those look like they can be bought...they are just there to tease...like that German site filled with NOS Roadracing parts  [drool]

Remember that the stiffness of the lines will also provide a bit support. I like what you have made and I think it will hold up just fine.
